Our Work Across Western North Carolina

Real job sites, photographed by our crew. Cleared lots, graded pads, rebuilt driveways, drainage work and finished concrete.

Western North Carolina

From standing timber to finished slab

A wooded hillside lot taken from standing timber to a finished slab: clearing, a benched and compacted pad, forms and stone base set to grade, then a reinforced pour finished the same day. The base under this slab is a compacted stone section rather than the native red clay — that is what keeps it from settling and cracking through the first few freeze-thaw cycles.

Turning sloped lots into building pads

Clearing, stump removal and rough-to-finish grading on sloped foothills lots. Each pad is cut and compacted with fall built in so surface water leaves the building area instead of collecting against it — the cheapest drainage work on any project is the grading you do before anything is built.

About our grading services
Bobcat track loader with a grading bucket on a freshly cleared building site
Large building pad graded flat in red clay soil, ready for construction
Two Bobcat excavators staged on a cleared lot during site preparation
Graded house pad with a finished outbuilding on a sloped wooded lot
Compact excavator fitted with a grading attachment shaping red clay subgrade

Gravel driveway rebuild & drainage correction

A washed-out drive holding water and rutting badly, rebuilt rather than just topped up. The surface was regraded and re-crowned, low spots were filled and compacted, the ditch line was reopened and fresh stone was placed on top. Fixing where the water goes is what makes the new gravel stay on the driveway.

About our driveway repair services
Before: washed-out gravel driveway holding standing water and rutted from runoff
Freshly graded gravel driveway with a proper crown running uphill through the woods
After: the same style of drive rebuilt, regraded and crowned to shed water

Drainage trenching & erosion repair

Trenching through red clay for drain line, re-cutting ditches and resloping a bank that had started to fail. Western NC storms drop a lot of water fast onto a lot of slope, so the fix is always a defined path for the water plus something durable in that path — not just filling in the damage and hoping.

About our erosion control services

Septic tank installation

Tank set into an excavated trench on a rural parcel, installed to the county health department permit. The excavation, tank set, drain field trenching and backfill are all handled by our own crew, so the schedule does not depend on coordinating a separate excavator.

About our septic services
New septic tank being lowered into an excavated trench by an excavator
Deep excavation cut into red clay for a foundation, with a worker for scale

Concrete flatwork, walkways & repair

Hand troweling wet concrete to a smooth surface finish
Concrete slab finished on a freshly graded building site
Completed concrete slab poured by AllTrax on a cleared Western NC lot
